Bought with a paper trail
We would rather decline a piece than sell one we cannot document. Here is what that means in practice.
Examined before it is listed
Nothing goes live until it has been through intake, measurement and physical examination.
Independent authentication
Verification is commissioned from outside specialists who have no stake in the sale.
Certificate with every piece
Each item ships with its written certificate and a reference you can check.
Thirty-day returns
If a piece is not what you expected, send it back within thirty days for a full refund.

How a piece reaches the shop floor
Intake and photography
Every piece is accessioned on arrival, measured, and photographed under controlled light. Marks, repairs and labels are recorded before anything is written.
Physical examination
Materials, construction and maker's marks are checked against reference examples and paperwork. Claims that cannot be tied to evidence are not made.
Third-party verification
The piece goes to an outside authority. They are paid for the examination, not for the outcome.
Listed with its record
Only then does it go on sale, with the certificate reference and condition grade attached.
Provenance documented
Each piece carries a written chain of custody. Where the record is incomplete, the ledger says so.
Independently authenticated
Signatures, materials, and production marks are examined by parties who do not sell what they verify.
Held in limited number
Forty-eight pieces are held at any time. One leaves the archive before another is admitted.
